Is this a notarization or a filing?
No. This is proof and recordkeeping. No filing is made anywhere by this service, and none is required for private instruments such as trusts, operating agreements, charters, and affidavits: this record is their complete proof layer. Documents that are constitutive by state filing, like LLC articles, deeds, and UCC statements, keep their required filings. This record supplements them and never substitutes for them.
Does my document become public?
Never. The document itself never touches the chain. What is recorded is its SHA-256 fingerprint and a sealed, AES-256-GCM encrypted copy pinned to distributed storage. Existence, integrity, and date are provable while the content stays private.
What exactly do I receive?
A Certificate of Proof and Recordkeeping delivered to your member portal. It carries your document fingerprint, the sealed evidence reference, your registry entry, the on-chain anchor transaction, and step-by-step verification instructions anyone can follow.
Why is a human signing each anchor?
Because keys held by servers get stolen and keys held by people can be secured. No automated system in this pipeline holds signing keys. Every anchor is reviewed and signed by a human from a hardware-secured wallet, which is why the service promises 24 hours rather than pretending instant is free.
What chain is this on, and can I check it myself?
Anchors are written to the DocumentAnchor contract on Polygon mainnet, with verified source code. Your certificate includes the anchor ID and root hash, and the public verifier reads the contract directly. You can repeat the same check on any public explorer without touching this site.
