You pay in RLUSD (a stablecoin worth exactly $1) or XRP — whichever your exchange has. Most people never need a crypto wallet. You can pay straight from where you buy.
The one rule that matters most
Every payment needs a destination tag — a number shown on your payment page. It’s how we match your payment to you. If your exchange or wallet won’t let you add a destination tag, don’t send from it — use the wallet method (Path C) instead.
Which one is you?
Pay with RLUSD from your exchange
On Kraken, Uphold, or Bitstamp, buy the dollar amount of RLUSD shown on your payment page (e.g. $497 = 497 RLUSD).
Choose Withdraw → select RLUSD → network XRP Ledger.
Paste the destination address from your payment page.
Enter the destination tag from your payment page. Required.
Enter the exact amount and confirm. Back on the payment page, tap “I’ve sent the payment.” It confirms in 3–5 seconds.
No wallet, no setup. The exchange holds everything for you.
Only have Coinbase? Pay with XRP
Coinbase doesn’t carry RLUSD yet — but it has XRP, and we accept it. On your payment page, tap “Pay in XRP.”
On Coinbase (or any exchange), buy the XRP amount shown.
Choose Send → XRP → paste the destination address.
Enter the destination tag. Required.
Enter the exact amount and send. Tap “I’ve sent the payment.”
Every major exchange has XRP — so between RLUSD and XRP, you can always pay.
Pay from your own wallet
Download Xaman and create an account. Write your Secret Numbers on paper, offline — never share them.
Activate it: buy ~$10 of XRP and send it to your Xaman address (starts with r…).
Turn on RLUSD: in Xaman tap Add asset → search RLUSD → pick the verified Ripple USD, issuer rMxCKbEDwqr76QuheSUMdEGf4B9xJ8m5De → confirm.
Get RLUSD: buy it on Kraken/Uphold/Bitstamp and withdraw to your Xaman address, or swap XRP → RLUSD inside Xaman.
Pay: on the payment page, scan the QR with Xaman — it fills in address, amount, and tag — then slide to sign.
The trust line in step 3 is only needed because you’re holding RLUSD yourself. Exchange customers (Path A/B) never touch it.
