Form your Charitable Trust

The nonprofit layer, whatever you call it — a foundation, a ministry, a church: the Declaration of Charitable Trust with its Governance Schedule, the First Resolutions with the trustee certification a bank accepts in place of a public filing, the Membership Agreement for those who join, and the founder's declaration and initial gift that brings it into being. One person may found it alone. Nothing is filed with the state to create it; 508(c)(1)(a) excepts it from applying for recognition, not from the conduct rules.
